Some of the stars of Nitro World Games converged on Brisbane to help launch tickets going on sale to the general public (FIND TICKETS HERE).
We can’t lie and say we’re morning people, but Ryan Williams got the day started with a 6 a.m. trip to the Brisbane River, with what may have been a World First (we’re scouring the record books to confirm), when he tailwhipped over three people on a moving paddle boat, live on Channel 7 breakfast show Sunrise.
Next stop was the famous BRISBANE landmark on Southbank, where R-Willy was joined by Aussie Olympic hopeful Logan Martin, Jaie Toohey, and Harry Bink for a photo opp and meet and greet with the Lord Mayor of Brisbane and the Minister for Sport, the two men hugely responsible for the Nitro World Games partnership with Tourism Queensland and BEDA.
All was going well, we were being functioning adults, and then the Mayor suggested we climb the sign for the photo. What happened after he left … well, let’s just play the video.
Action sports stars will be action sports stars …
