First Nitro World Games Competitors Announced

The first competitors in the inaugural Nitro World Games are set. An independent panel of industry leaders and former riders weighed in to assemble this initial list, ensuring that the contenders are truly the best each sport has to offer. In FMX, 10 riders have been invited to compete in the semifinals on July 15, with the finals for each event to take place the following day, broadcast live on NBC. There are still six open slots for the FMX semifinals, to be determined in upcoming prequalifying competitions.

In the two BMX events, Best Tricks and Triple Hit, 10 riders have been invited to the semifinals for each, with six slots remaining to be filled as well. For skate, 14 semifinalists are invited with two slots to fill through prequalifying. Eight riders in each semifinal will advance to the finals.

For inline and scooter, the fields are set with five riders in each discipline bound for the finals. But enough of the preamble, let’s get to the athletes. The full press release follows the lists:
